Graffiti Removal
You don’t have to put up with offensive graffiti on your home or property. It can be removed with ease and is best done as soon as it occurs so that the paint doesn’t have time to dry.
If your property is subject to graffiti vandalism, don’t accept that the graffiti is there to stay. It is said that graffiti not only devalues property, but it may create an open invitation for littering, loitering and further graffiti.
Before starting the removal process or calling us for a free quote, you should photograph the graffiti. Photographs may help police identify the graffiti vandal and may also be useful in claiming damages as part of insurance or tax deductions.
We specialise in removing all sorts of graffiti, small or large and use a variety of methods to suit individual surfaces.
We have specialised equipment such as steam pumps or cleaners, abrasive blasters, vacuum systems, airless spray painting equipment and several others. There may also be a need for chemicals but all have been approved by the Western Australian Department of Housing and Works.
There are three things you need to do if your property has been vandalised:
- Take photos and note the date and approximate time of the vandalism. Note any important details and report to the police if serious damage has occurred.
- Call Painters Australia ASAP for a free quote so we can identify the surface type, substance used and method for removal.
- Have graffiti removed and apply preventative measures such as preparing the surface with anti graffiti coatings.
Anti Graffiti
To prevent vandalism from damaging your property and avoid the hassle of graffiti removal we can seal porous surfaces such as brick, concrete and timber with anti-graffiti/protective coatings. These coatings reduce the harmful effects of spray paint and make removal easier.
We use two types of coatings at Painters Australia
- Sacrificial coatings, which are removed from the surface along with the spray paint in the graffiti removal process. These are often water based not as toxic and less expensive.
- Non sacrificial/permanent coatings, which remain on the surface when graffiti is removed and, hence, can withstand several attacks of graffiti vandalism.
